Flaming Irish Coffee

Ingredients

For the cocktail:

• 1 to 2 ounces rum
• 1 to 2 ounces coffee-friendly liqueur, such as Kahlúa, amaretto, or Cointreau, at room temperature
• 3 ounces strong brewed coffee, lukewarm

For the glass:

• 2 tablespoons lemon juice
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar, or spiced sugar
• 1 pinch ground cinnamon
• 1 pinch ground nutmeg

Garnishes:

• Whipped cream, or heavy cream, to taste, optional
• 1 dash ground cinnamon, or nutmeg, optional
• Lemon zest, or orange or lime zest, optional
• Chocolate shavings, or chocolate syrup, optional
• 1 maraschino cherry, or brandied cherry, optional
